Under Alabama regulations, you must take a Lead Paint CertifiedRenovator refreshercourse every three years (not every five years as required by EPA). If you went through the lead certification program in 2019, you are up for renewalnow. You must take the course BEFOREyour expiration date. If not, the state will require you to take the initial courseagain. Avoid costly delays by taking the continuing education course now.

The Winter Meeting features a wide variety of council and committee meetings and educational sessions, providing information about the HBAA’s plans for the year, with plenty of time for the builder and associate members to network.

The Embassy Suites Hotel will be the host hotel for the 2021 Winter Meeting. The HBAA has a room block reserved there at a discounted rate of $139.00 per night. The room block deadline is February 4th, 2021.

2021QCI STORMWATER CONTINUING ED
Get your mandatory QCI continuing education at a time and place that is most convenient for you!
Ifyou are a QCI (Qualified Credentialed Inspector), you are required by ADEM to take a 4-hour continuing educationcourse each yearthrough your original provider to maintain your certified status. The Home Builders Association of Alabama(HBAA) offers two ways to obtain your continuing educationcredit.
Online (education.hbaa.org)
The HBAA offers online stormwater certification continuing education.Online training notonlysaves you the time you would normally spend away from your office, but youwill pay just $80 compared to $175 for the classroom training. Take the course at your own pace in the comfort of your home or office.
On-Site
Ifonline training is not an option for you, the HBAA continues to offer training classes throughout the state. See the schedule for upcomingclass dates and locations. Each classroom course is from 12:30 p.m.to 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. The cost is $175 per attendee.

Get the tools you need to be compliantwith stormwater regulations while saving time and money. Since 1999, the HomeBuilders Association of Alabama (HBAA) has been the leader in providingQualified Credentialed Inspector (QCI) training in Alabama. This award-winningprogram, a joint effort between the HBAA and ADEM, provides basic tools andstrategies to help achieve and maintain compliance with the stormwater rule atall construction sites. Engineers with TTL, professionals in erosion and sediment control who are ADEM-approved, will teachthe course.
You’ll learn:
· Construction Best Management Practices (BMPs)
Required to meet water qualityobjectives
· How to perform inspections under ADEM NPDES permit ratherthan hire engineers or consultants to do it, saving you time andmoney
· How to avoid ADEM/EPA/localenforcement actions and associated costs
